What type of membership is right for my business?

RHA membership falls into three categories:

Regular Members are individuals and companies that own and/or manage rental property located in the cities of Dublin, Fremont, Hayward, Livermore, Newark, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Union City and the unincorporated areas of Alameda County (Ashland, Castro Valley, Cherryland, Fairview, San Lorenzo, and Sunol).

The RHA has members from across the rental industry:

  • Independent Owners - Our Independent owners own from one to several rentals.
  • Management Companies - Companies who charge a fee to manage property for others
  • Regional Companies - Companies with larger portfolio of properties across the Bay Area and State
  • National Companies - Organizations with a National Reach that own and manage rental communities.

We offer discounted resident screening services through our industry partners.  The credit report, eviction (UD) report, social security search and criminal search are just some of the reports available. Newsletters, breaking news updates, early program announcements, e-news and events are used to keep you informed and educated.

RHA"s Online Resource Center provides information on local ordinances, trends, and issues that directly impact rental property operations in Alameda County! Only RHA members can access these valuable benefits.
  • New RHA Online Resources - Members can manage their membership online including: registering for events, purchase products and services, online training, connect directly with local vendors, update membership profile, 
  • Legal and Legislative Advocacy – both at the local and State Level, the RHA works in conjunction with other business groups to protect our member interests.

Regular Membership Dues

Membership dues are paid on all of your residential rental properties in the Association's territory.

** Membership dues cannot be prorated or refunded and they are billed each year during the same month in which you join.

 
Dues are calculated by adding together Base Dues and Per Rental Unit Dues.

Our Industry Partners have access to:

  • Lunch & Learn Presentation Opportunities - We provide our IPs with the opportunity to present their products or services to RHA members at 1 hour "Lunch & Learn" events.
  • IP's can provide instructional copy for our quarterly print newsletter and our quarterly newsletter, RHA Times, published at no cost if selected.
  • Opportunities to network with local members at all events - attend at member price.
  • Participate, sponsor and attend Community Awards as a member.
  • Conference & Table Top Tradeshow - Local IP members will have an opportunity to be involved in planning, marketing and networking.

Friends of RHA have access to:
